With ANYPRINT!, printers on IBM, TANDEM, and PC’s can be put to use, regardless of the source of the created output. ANYPRINT!’s unique spooler-to- spooler transfer facility moves print files between systems directly and without the need for intermediate file exchanges. This facility has proven highly rigorous and reliable, protecting your printed output and providing restart capability as required. ANYPRINT! integrates directly into job management subsystems and requires no specialized application coding.

No training of operations or application development staff is required. Network dependent code need not be included or maintained by the applications. An ANYPRINT! linked printer is perceived as a local printer belonging to the same type of hardware as the output creating program. And ANYPRINT! is fast! The internal architecture uses complex multithread programming, window counting protocols, and data compression to maximize the usage of the available bandwidth. Finally, ANYPRINT! can be integrated with other ETINET products to support high-speed tape backups and recovery (BACKHOME) and comprehensive file transfer capability (BCOM-FS6.2).

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

ANYPRINT! needs no special system software to operate. ANYPRINT! implements the SNA LU6.2 APPC protocols and supports SNAXLINK, QLLC (X.25) and primary spooler subsystems of each supported platform.

Installation and training support are available. Maintenance support and product updates are offered as part of a standard license agreement with each product installation.
