Functionality is enabled by ETI-NET software which:

§         maintains a catalog that records where any virtual volume is physically stored

§         automatically mounts the virtual volumes requested by tape applications

§         interfaces to tape catalogs available on Guardian (DSM/TC, TMF or Q/TOS)

§         provides its own tape catalog and scratch tapes management

 

Web Based Graphical User Interface

The graphical user interface is used for system setup and configuration. It is not typically required for operation. In special conditions like the “emergency mode”, it allows manual operations such as the manual ‘mount’ of a virtual volume. This user interface is presented from the EZX-BackBox through a web browser.
