Tivoli Associates is an IBM Business Partner and Services Provider. Unlike most IBM Business Partners they do not directly sell any hardware, software or services. They do not provide any direct customer services. What they do is provide support and services to IBM and Business Partners that have a need for IBM Tivoli Storage expertise.

Services

Tivoli Associates have been working with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager since before it was called ITSM or TSM or ADSM.  They have developed ITSM client code and competitive software in the past and have been working with storage for many years.  Ross Battaglia has personally written several IBM Redbooks for ADSM and TSM including the latest Version 5.2: IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Concepts SG24-4877 and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Implementation Guide SG24-5416 . He has also created the IBM Tivoli certification tests for the ITSM 000-872 and ITSRM 000-789 exams.  

 

Tivoli Assocaites provide implementation, on-site IBM Authorized Education and training[1], ITSM Health Checks, Assessments and Discovery, storage and AIX setup and upgrading.  In addition they also provide pre-sales support and business partner training for all IBM Tivoli Storage products.

 

In addition to IBM Tivoli Storage services, Tivoli Associates is also the North American support organization for TSMManager a third party software complementary product for monitoring and reporting on ITSM.

 

Tivoli Associates will also be providing education and training for Cristie Software Products, Bare Machine Recovery across the United States and Canada.  As IBM Tivoli has moved forward with adding the Cristie BMR product, Tivoli Associates has taken the step to become the service provider for BMR in North America.
